FATHER Project

Every child deserves a dad who shows up. The FATHER Project, led by Family Service Rochester, helps fathers overcome the barriers that keep them from being emotionally and financially present in their children’s lives.

Through intensive case management, career development, and parenting support, this program gives dads the tools to rebuild stability, not just for themselves, but for their families.

Here’s how FATHER Project supports dads in real ways:

  • One-on-One Case Management – personalized guidance to help fathers navigate employment, parenting, and life challenges.

  • Career Development Support – access to job training, education, and employment opportunities that open long-term doors.

  • Weekly Parenting Groups – real conversations and practical skills, surrounded by peer fathers who get what you’re facing.

  • Fatherhood Navigation – one-on-one help connecting with local resources for housing, child support, and family well-being.

The FATHER Project operates in Olmsted County, Minnesota, helping underemployed and unemployed fathers strengthen their ability to provide, emotionally and financially.

At DWALY, we spotlight FATHER Project because it aligns with everything we believe: when fathers have access to the right tools, their kids grow stronger, their families thrive, and entire communities rise.
