Fathers & Families Support Center

The Fathers & Families Support Center (FFSC) is on a mission to strengthen families by helping fathers show up financially, emotionally, and consistently for their children. Based in St. Louis, FFSC works to break cycles of poverty, neglect, and disconnection by preparing parents to lead with responsibility and stability.

Since its founding in 1997 by Halbert Sullivan, FFSC has grown from a single class into a nationally recognized agency with 45 full-time employees and a record of real change, reaching more than 22,000 fathers and improving life for over 53,000 children.

How Fathers & Families Support Center makes an impact:

  • Financial Empowerment: Career development and job placement programs that build economic stability and reduce dependence on welfare systems.

  • Legal and Parental Guidance: Classes and coaching that help fathers navigate custody, child support, and co-parenting challenges with confidence and respect.

  • Community and Family Connection: Emotional support, communication training, and parenting groups that strengthen relationships and rebuild family trust.

The results speak for themselves:

  • 72% of participants report stronger co-parenting relationships

  • 83% report improved parenting skills

  • 75% increase time spent with their children

  • $16 million returned in community value from $3.5 million invested

FFSC is also the only fatherhood-focused agency in the U.S. to earn accreditation from the Council on Accreditation, recognizing excellence in nonprofit management and service delivery.

At DWALY, we proudly feature FFSC in the Fatherhood Impact Library because it represents what we stand for.
