The National At-Home Dad Network
The National At-Home Dad Network (NAHDN) is a nonprofit dedicated to connecting and empowering fathers who choose to stay home and raise their children. What began in 2003 as a small group of three dads from Washington, D.C., has grown into a national movement that celebrates fatherhood and the strength it takes to lead from home.
NAHDN provides education, advocacy, and community for full-time caregivers, helping dads feel supported, respected, and equipped to manage both the emotional and financial challenges of family life.
What the National At-Home Dad Network offers:
Community and Connection: Local playgroups and online networks where fathers can share experiences, exchange advice, and build lifelong friendships.
Education and Growth: The annual HomeDadCon brings dads together to learn, connect, and elevate their parenting and leadership skills. It is the second longest-running fatherhood event in the country.
Family and Financial Balance: Programs and resources that support fathers managing household responsibilities and family budgets, proving that caregiving is an essential part of leadership.
Since its founding, NAHDN has worked to normalize and celebrate the role of stay-at-home dads. By advocating for visibility and respect, the organization continues to redefine modern fatherhood and inspire men to lead their families with purpose and pride.
At DWALY, we’re proud to feature The National At-Home Dad Network in our Fatherhood Impact Library because it honors what we believe at our core: fatherhood is leadership, and every dad deserves a community that recognizes his role in shaping the next generation.
